Do you want the ACA to be struck down?

In no surprise, Trump's Supreme Court Pick will be 48 y/o Hard-right and Trailer Trash, Amy Coney Barrett.

Trump promised to his evangelical base that he will overturn Obama laws such as the ACA, DACA and abortion as this pick will guarantee that to happen finally after years of failures in the Supreme Court.

He has now secured the votes for years to come for conservative laws to rule in America no matter who is President and this may be the last Swan Song for Trump's 4 year term in office if he is voted out in November..

The Supreme Court Pick will be a fierce fight on the Senate Floor as Democrats will use every avenue to get more Republicans to not confirm the pick.

Do you want the ACA to be struck down?

DACA was an EO, not a law. Considering that, Trump should have been allowed to get rid of DACA all along. The ACA has little to do with SCOTUS; iirc the biggest case they heard involving it regarded the individual mandate. And the abortion fears are unfounded.

In general, it takes a lot of steps to reach SCOTUS. They don't just rule on whatever they like. While SCOTUS can be important, the president, congress, and the senate have a bigger role in the overall running of America.

The past 4 years have shown us that politicians will always pick the worst option.

Why did Bill Clinton pick someone so old in the first place?
If he had picked a younger supreme court member then we wouldn't be having this problem.

This woman is against almost everything which is why she was picked. The last 4 GOP presidents all chose judges who want to roll back or repeal abortion, voting and civil rights and this woman is in line with that.

Here is the problem.

insurance companies.

the rates went up when the ACA came in and they will go up again when the ACA is (if it is) repealed. Leaving us holding the bag.

i was not in favor of the ACA when it came into place but simply tearing it down without limiting the insurance companies from once again raising costs and reducing services will only create a greater problem.

only a lame duck politician would be free from insurance lobby influence and while trump will effectively be immune from that politically regardless of the outcome of the election because he wont need their political support. The house and senate will never be.

the ACA was Pandoras box. Its open now. Doing anything will only sock the average citizen with extra costs.

personally I feel the best method if we were to have a system like the ACA would be to cover emergency care, kind of like a serious condition safety net or catastrophe insurance where like life insurance carriers make their money until something happens. Yeah tons of issues but that will never happen anyway so hammering out details is pointless.

not a fan of the ACA but repeal is worse.

So instead of letting people go see a doctor when symptoms first show and can be treated cheaply and easily, we have to wait until they're dying and treating them costs a fortune?

That doesn't seem right.
