...is so incredibly boring.

Is its popularity down to nostalgia? Did that many people play it when it came out? It's just a drag and it's so damn repetitive from the get go.

I'll confess to having trolled some CT fans in the past - but this time it's for real. Why do people love it so much?

It's a good game, and maybe at the time it was great, but yeah I've always found it massively overrated. Same with FF6 except i wouldn't even call that a good game at all

Imo Super Mario RPG is the best rpg on the SNES

I played through the game in 2009 and there was nothing dated about it, so it's not just nostalgia.

I love ff6 but its because it was amazing at the time. I dont think it holds well if you didnt play it back then.

It was a great game. It's still a great game.
Great characters, environment (music + settings), plot, writing, and one of the best examples of a time traveling story. And the translation actually serves to add a ton of depth to the themes that were absent in the original.

I played it when the remaster (?) came to ps1

Thing is I LOVE IV. I just find it superior in every way other than graphics
