Why would it EVER be unacceptable to post on CE? CE is the GOAT message board.

This isn't the 70's or 80's anymore. With the how much housing is nowadays, I wish I could go back to my parents and just pay the measly $400 they allowed me to pay before I moved out. Some people also have different circumstances, people need to take care of their parents as well.

At whatever point you have the ability to move out but choose not to.

I can't imagine spending your 20s let alone your 30s still living with your parents.

I don't live with my parents anymore in my late 20's but I don't really blame anyone who still does. On a starting-out career job, the amount of money that you can save by sticking it out and living with your folks is ridiculous.

It also heavily depends on your culture.

Depends on why you're living with your parents. Like I totally understand why someone would live with their parents to save money, or a free place to live while in school or maybe if they have a parent that needs someone to help care for them.

But if you're just spending all your money on bullshit, or even worse are unemployed with no plans you need to get your shit together. Age is kind of irrelevant tbh

As soon as you earn enough money to move out, either to live with a roommate or alone.

This. It also depends on circumstance - it would be a good thing to stay with ailing or infirm parents to help them out, for example.
