9-11 and the rest of the Bush years was certainly a clusterfuck.

I'm nearly 40 and yes, this is the craziest. Trump in office, COVID-19, the Australian fires, senseless killings from police brutality erupting in ongoing protests, the explosion in Lebanon, California wildfires seem endless, a long list of beloved famous people dying, American anti-maskers and willing to spread this shit because of "muh rights" this year has been an abomination. The US has gone in one single year from a powerhouse to a laughing stock and the world is looking at us like we are all morons. I don't know how it can get worse.
