I feel like most of the people freaking out about this game never even touched the old games. it reminds me of the people who hyped up Fallout 3 without ever playing Fallout 1 and 2

I do think it looks good (though I won't be able to play for probably a year maybe due to outdated computer)
but the new game looks very different from the classic ones. it's not really the same game. they only used the name to draw in hype from a legendary series. it could have easily been just a random new game in the DnD universe. didn't have to be Baldurs Gate. and has little to no real connection. ...
