Some examples I can think of are the Helmasaur King since you have to break that mask before you can hit it.... but that's more deliberate

I'm thinking more of stuff like Monster Hunter with breakables, where you really shouldn't hit strong points but once you score a break it could become their weakest point

yeah, that's kinda what I mean.

But more specifically, if they have a normal outcropping that is normal... like a Snail boss where you are expected to hit the head and the shell is invincible/high defense, but if you strategize and break that shell you'll expose an even greater weakpoint

If they have big feet, they would be harder to knock over due to sturdiness..... but stab them in those big toes and its going to hurt.

There are several in Panzer Dragoon Saga, and also where the weak point can become strong. Positioning is a key element in the battles.

I think the bull bosses in sekiro might fall into this. If you time it right you can have them charge a wall and one shot themselves

if you bring a smaller group, he wont be able to instakill your party members
alternatively, if you just buff up a leper to be able to 1 shot him he will also be unable to instakill
either way, without instakill its not a very hard bossfight

Quite a few bosses in PSO2 have breakables that expose weakpoints, sometimes with additional elements involved beyond just dealing damage to break them (like inflicting status ailments).
