According to my PSN profile, I first played in the beginning of 2017. Started with ME1 in February, followed by ME2&3, then Andromeda in November. Done 3 playthroughs of the trilogy since then, and Andromeda twice.

I had watched a few LP's of it sometime between ME3 and Andromeda. Finally decided to pick it up when I found the PS3 trilogy for $20.

2007 on launch day

Read about it in GameInformer in like 2005-2006

They had a huge cover story where they went deep into the games development, the background lore, and the dev philosophy. I thought it sounded brilliant and followed the rest of development pretty closely after that

I first bought Mass Effect 1 back in 2010 during a Steam sales event for $20. Bought Mass Effect 2 Deluxe a few months later for $36.

Day one. It was my most anticipated game of that generation (until 2 and 3 that is). I followed Mass Effect since the original video where Shepard looked sorta derpy.
