regardless of race of the players, the US could dominate in soccer if we cared about the sport. And no I am not just being arrogant. it's true. dominating a sport requires money. lots of it, to find and develop talent. And the US COULD finance a killer team if we had the desire to do it. but soccer isn't seen as a major serious sport here. so nobody bothers much with it. it's just not important in our culture like other sports are. the rest of the world that loves soccer should be happy the US doesn't care about it. cause we would wreck their teams.

Soccer doesn't have the infrastructures in place that the top end nations like england, france, brazil, and argentina do.
Top flight teams like liverpool, barcelona, and inter have training academies which find talent right when they're children and develop them in their camps and if they are good enough, they graduate to the club roster.
In america, there's no such thing. There's no funding or quality competition in their development. Most parents in america do stress a college education and aren't open to sending their kid to north london to tottenham's camps so they're stuck playing in an inferior ncaa league where very few get the opportunities to become stars in europe.

The US dominates the Olympics and has amazing athletes. If they took Soccer or Rugby seriously they would be powerhouse teams

The US still holds the number 1 spot for average attendance for World Cup games from back in 1994 (68,626) when we had it here and back then we, as a country, cared even less about Soccer than we do now. We just have an abundance of massive stadiums and half the people attending the games were doing it just for novelty reasons.
