Did anyone else instinctively use L, A and R for Donald, Sora and Goofy respectively? It feels weird to have three characters and three attack buttons laid out the same way, but make them all interchangeable as long as you press the right number of them.

That should definitely be an optional difficulty modifier in the full game.

Yeah same. I just tried the first track and jumping is definitely the weirdest thing to get used to. Can we talk about this new Dearly Beloved arrangement mix though?? I fucking dig it. I like seeing the levels all strung (kinda) cohesively together into one connected place.

The jump command is giving me the most trouble. I keep thinking the attack is supposed come a beat later.

Also, there's a clutter to the whole thing that makes it really hard to tell what you're supposed to be hitting and when thanks to the perspective. It's not a major problem on the lower difficulties, but I feel it on Proud. If I narrow my focus and only pay attention to the timing circles it's okay, but it kind of ruins the seamless nature of attacking enemies to the rhythm that way.

In retrospect, after playing a little more, I think my issue with the jump prompt is that I'm jumping on the beat, when I should jump on the previous beat and attack on the beat I think the jump prompt is. Much easier to do on Proud when there's more hit markers to time it properly.

I think the jump arrows are a bit misleading though. It feels like it's better to jump before where they are. Although I might be losing points that way? I dunno.

I'm jumping like right before the marker. It should fall on a beat I think and then the hit should be the very next beat?

Yeah. But the marker itself confuses me. If you jump when you reach the marker, it'll be late and not on rhythm with the follow up attack. If you jump ahead of the marker (which you can do on the beat or not, they give you a lot of leeway, at least on the lower difficulties), and then attack on the beat it works fine. I think the marker is supposed to show when you need to attack, not when you need to jump, but that's super dumb. It makes it inconsistent with the jump marker used to avoid attacks.

Okay, I tried co-op mode with a Joy Con in each hand and it's actually pretty playable that way, and fun. The only thing I can't do is move around during the Gliding segments, but you don't have to move around that much in co-op, and you don't lose health for missing those, so it's not a major issue.

Oddly enough, co-op is kind of fixes this, as you have to hit certain beats specifically on one side or the other. Honestly, you could even consider playing co-op by yourself as an extra difficulty mode. It almost seems designed to be manageable that way.
