Basically, as compared to the Series X, it's got lower clock speeds at base but is supposed to overclock the GPU or CPU based on need.

I can't see how this is a better option than simply throwing more power at something.

I'm pretty sure the OCing was more of a reactionary move to finding out MS brute forced their GPU Core Count.

I don't think OCing was the original plan, but a backup plan should that happen.

I know certain games could over clock the cpu on the PSP. I wonder if it'll be something like that.
