The party doesnt stop, folks.

How the fuck did I fail a test that Ive passed before. How did I fail a test that could dramatically improve my financial situation? I have to wait a month before I can retake it, and if I fail again, I have to pay for training al over again.

Ive been cashing out PTO for the last couple months to stay afloat, but thats dried up until December.

My boss said no to the raise I asked for.

The city I am contracted to is giving $1000 in hazard pay to all of their employees. But since Im contracted, Im ineligible. Even though Ive been here for 8 years.

just so fucking sick of feeling like this

No its not. You have to take a test in Ohio. I studied but I guess I didnt take it as seriously as the first time. There was also a lot of questions I didnt see on the original test but whatever.

ohio has a lot of stringent real estate etc type rules and regulations, doesn't it?
notary public-ing must be completely and wholly different there

So... you went in thinking you needed to memorize a test rather than actually learn the subject you were being evaluated on?

thats not what I said. I cant memorize a test I have no copy of, that I took 6 years ago.

I'm also really curious as to what's on the test. I'm not giving you shit for failing but it's a notary. What can they ask you? "Which of the following are valid forms of ID?" "What is the allowed rate for signing 1 xxxxxx document."

you dont need to take the test if youre an attorney, thats the only thing I can think of. That, or if youre renewing your commission.

I didnt have a problem with that stuff. And I only failed by 2 questions.

these questions were much more detailed and specific, but they dont tell you what you got wrong.

This topic was not meant to be about the questions on the test. I cant retake it for a month regardless.

just venting, as its the only option I have at the moment.

I was very wrong.

I thought notary was like the dude at UPS who literally ships documents but he also like, puts a seal saying you're you?

a notary is just an independent, non interested third-party who can attest to signatories in legal documents
in texas, at least
this is why i'm so confused and interested in the test situation
