Current Events > Anyone ever make a stuffed animal/know how to sew designs?

I want to make one for somebody, but I am a little out of realm here. It was going to be designed after a pet of theirs, which is why I was planning on making it. I could always commission someone to make it, but quite frankly, that's pretty expensive.

There are tutorials, but I notice a lot of the stuffed animals are more like sock puppet type animals or they are single-colored. This would be a multi-colored pet, with different colors of fur throughout the body, which is where I feel a little lost on.

I want to make this as a Christmas gift, so I have some time, just wondering if you know of any good tutorials for such a project.
