Atralis 10/16/20 7:43:49 PM #3:	I was on a funeral detail for a few months in the Army (45 funerals in about 2.5 months). Only one was a KIA the rest were veterans. It was weird how normal it became to do them. We had a three man group where we would just show up, put a flag on the casket, then hand it to the family for veterans and we had the full detail show up to carry the casket to the grave site and do the 21 gun salute (7 guys three shots with blanks out of m16's). The first few funerals I felt some emotion about it but by about number 20 it just felt like a thing we did.
