She made it almost to the end of the Zabuza Saga before she gave up on the series. I did show her Kai, and she liked that, and said she'd definitely watch Naruto if they made a version like that. I really couldn't believe that I put up with all the bullshit back then either. Like, I'm pretty sure it's just filler until Shippuden starts. The pacing of Naruto is fucking horrendous, even without the filler. It's why I didn't really watch the anime because I could read the manga as quickly as I wanted, skipping over flashback panels.
