We produce enough food, collectively, to feed 11 billion people. Its a matter of our priorities as a species that, despite that, many still go hungry or even starve.

Yet nobody here is starving. Go figure

You've all been seething about this post for four pages and yet nobody has posted any evidence of starvation in the US...

You guys are insecure jokes, 70% of this thread is just the same few people frantically reassuring each other that they totally just won an argument.

You guys learned about the Holodomor, right?

People were literally dropping dead in the streets of Ukraine.

I hope we can always help each other, especially when it comes to food, though I think its not accurate to say people are starving in the US. I will agree most people cant afford to buy the most luxurious foods and a lot dont get even two meals a day. If we are talking about homeless people, thats the closest situation but a bit nuanced.

Pretty much.

Welcome to ce, where we pretend the first world is starving for cheap political points.

is that what we actually consume, or what we produce and purchase?

because we throw a ton of food away every day

For anyone interested, this is how the US justified their vote.

That's from 2017. Where's the 2005 vote?
