-Ranfan, who's secret technique is taking off her clothes
-That one scene with General Blue
-All the pervertedness in general, mostly by Master Roshi

Even with all that, I still love it. Really though because of the focus on martial arts than constant pew pews and such.

Ok but what issue is Master Roshi first in the manga

That General Blue scene was so bad, they had to rewrite it in the dub to imply he looked like his lost kid brother. But it's a huge stretch that is still obvious he's hitting on an 8-year-old, regardless of the dialoge.

Other than the really racist and perverted stuff, it's a super fun show.

Also here's some more things that came to mind:

-Roshi shrinking down and tyring to spy on Launch (or was it Bulma?) in the bathroom.
-Roshi saying some lingerie is his training gear so Launch had to wear it. Roshi also had some smaller versions for Goku and Krillin. Why did he have those?
-Chi Chi's outfit as a child and some of the stuff revolving around her.
-Gratuitous Goku D
-Bulma uses her panties as bait to catch Oolong.
-Are nosebleeds a metaphor for something else? Hmm.
-Oolong wishing for some panties to stop Pilaf.

I've only seen the dub and like you said it was so obvious at what really was going on. I think Blue even had hearts in his eyes when he saw him. They probably just should have cut it out though really it shouldn't have been there in the first place.

toriyama was a depraved horny bastard. he wrote a Manga about a girl trying to be a hero but she kept getting raped so she became a prostitute. with that to provide perspective, DragonBall became quite a success despite its early depraved moments.

Yeah, that's the thing. Initially, it was just them trolling. But now that it's used by actual white supremacists at rallies and people shooting up mosques, it actually is a hate symbol. It's not about the troll post anymore.

Having said that, it's pretty obvious that doing the gesture in Dragon Ball - considering it precedes the whole fiasco (even the Super scene) - is obviously just meant to be "ok" and nothing ulterior.

Tbqh, I personally don't see anything inherently offensive in blackface. I actually think the fact that it's considered racist is because a lot of cartoons and comics with characters that had that blackface look would often act unintelligent/submissive/comically stereotypical, and the visual blackface traits eventually became racist by association.

But hey, the consensus these days is that it's considered offensive, and I'm ok with that.
