Interesting question. I'd say yes, that seems impossible to track.

No. Voting is about electing somebody to represent you and your ideals, if you are dead you are no longer in the world and no longer need somebody to represent you so your vote should be discarded. It's kind of shitty but that's what I think.

It should be impossible to trace a ballot back to a person, so yes

"election day" is a misnomer. it's just the last day that votes can be cast.

What if you were an old person who was on the verge of death who was voting for someone that was going to do good things that helped your surviving family? Policies that affected your kids, grandkids, etc?

As soon as you drop your ballot off with the proper authorities (including by mail box), it counts. Absolutely.

Even if you were able to somehow vote back in June, committed and convicted of 10 felonies, and died right after.

Yes. If your vote is cast, your vote counts.

Exactly. Imagine you vote the day of the election. And as you exit the polls, you die. Should your vote be discounted now because you just died? No. Your vote is cast. Your vote counts. It counts when you cast it. Elections are already going on, they're not just on Nov 3. Nov 3 is just the last day you can cast your vote. Some votes will actually be counted in later days.

i've watched family members roll their essentially brain-dead elderly parents into a booth and hand hold them through the process of functionally giving them a second vote, so if that's ok then counting the vote of someone who legally votes early then dies in the interim seems just as reasonable.

Allowing votes to not count if people die before election day would just give deranged nutjobs one more way to try and invalidate votes and swing things to their most wanted candidate's favor.
