In the real world, you put effort into things you think deserve effort. The famous laugh sounds bad because Tidus is specifically not actually trying. A real laugh doesnt require effort, because you dont need effort to feel an emotion that comes naturally.

I will admit this scene is corny but I find it charming at the same time and actually love it.

Well if you can see yourself liking this cringe scene then might you see someone else thinking that Tidus scene has its own charm.
