Depends on the place.
This. Entirely. But I will say that either extreme is obnoxious, usually.

The colleagues that "love the place" are the worst, because they're the first ones to rat you out for any little thing to the boss.

"Fuck it" colleagues are far better, they take it easy and usually don't stir shit up because they just don't give a damn.

I enjoy my job so i tend to enjoy people who also like working there.

F this place employees often have legitimate complaints but they also can be the people who complain about everything which isn't always fun to be around.

Ideally you have someone who cares about the job and having some modicum of personal pride in their work, but isn't in love with the company. That's the kind of person who likely is going to do their share and not leave you to clean up their mess but also has a realistic idea of work/life balance and you can shoot the shit with and complain about the company with.

But if I had to choose between the two. I'd go with the F this place employee.

other: people who bitch to management that I'm bitching about them so I can point out what I'm doing isn't in violation of any code but is making the workplace miserable

They have pros and cons.

'Fuck this place' guys caan be fun to work with. They can be chill, tell it how it is, usually have handy tips/tricks to make bullshit more tolerable, and can be fun to talk to. They also might a) dump extra work on you (or otherwise fuck you over) because they don't give a fuck, or b) might make you MORE miserable, as their negativity begins wearing you down after a while.

'I love this place' people will much more often carry their weight, get you amped up to do good work, help time go faster, and also be a source for DIFFERENT tips/tricks to make bullshit easier to deal with. At the same time, if they end up being a total corporate-kool-aid-drinking bootlickers, they can be insincere, conniving, will rat you out for insignificant shit, be generally insufferable or, worse yet, bossy.

what it all comes down to is, balance is key.
