at least with the first Batwoman, she actually was wearing a wig so it was part of the disguise. she had really short hair, but has big fake hair in her costume.

I am not entirely sure she ever fully explained her reasons. but supposedly she got sick of doing it, I think partly cause she had a serious injury that made stunts hard to do. and also that a lot of whining people were harassing her over the show. she shouldn't have listened to them. the people whining didn't even watch the show. but she didn't like the harassment

the stupid thing is the entire show is built around the original Batwoman. all the side characters and even the villain are all either friends or family members of her. and then she just leaves and now a stranger takes over
