Not being able to jump in these games has always felt super fucking awkward to me.

I mean, jump is a basic ass function that goes back to the NES days and in my favorite game, Dynasty Warriors 3, it's a pretty damn important combat tool.

I've never liked when the crossovers shifted away from it. Cement shoes feels awful and I not only miss the jump attacks themselves, but being able to jump down from a ledge on a pile of enemies.

Context jumping has mostly been shitty aside from a handful of games; some of them use it well.

The air combos in the first three Pirate Warriors games were alright, but they really didn't do it for me.

The Berserk game suffered from a lot of issues, but having a jump attack would've expanded the limited combat quite a bit. I really wish that game was much better than it was :(

That sounds more like an attack rather than a jump, though...

I guess I just dont see any reason for jumping so far. I mean, in all the HW games and FEW, I never really saw a reason where jumping was actually needed, so it seems like a worthless addition that would have to be shoehorned in... Especially considering its usually not really needed on command in Zelda games. They had the Rocs Feather is some. And while BotW had a jump button, it did seem like it was actually useful there... Adding a jump button in this game seems like it would just make some things needlessly complicated...

With Link, you can easily jump by hitting the light attack and then the heavy. When you're in the air, you can use the paraglider which is pretty nifty.

I know this is a Warriors/Musou game, but I really hope the full game has better performance, or at least gets patched.

It would be nice if more Warriors games had options on consoles too. Apparently Fire Emblem Warriors had a choice between 30fps or 60fps, at the cost of visual fidelity.

I mean, why do so many Warriors games have co-op if the framerate is unbearable?

I'll try it soon. I know Musou games are not everyone's cup of tea (grunts barely attack, too repetitive) but is sure is mine.

Yeah, dodge taking the place of jump at times in Musou games is weird.

The only issue I have so far is that I have yet to find how to change button assignments.

So far, I like it. Though, I still havent learned how to make characters go to certain areas without me controlling them yet. But Im still at the beginning.

Also, I feel its going to take a lot of time to get use to the controls. The lock on button has changed. Lots of buttons have changed. Though, the face buttons are still the same. And the combos are hard to get us to. With the extra holding and such. Itll just take time, I guess...
