Watched this twice trying to figure out what was bothering me about it, and finally realized that it looks too good and runs too smooth. Souls games are supposed to look worse than this <_<

Other news:

-Grass is being limited, and stronger grass weighs more. No more 30 minute PVP heal fests.

-World Tendency is still in, but is being made more obvious and easier to follow.

-No, they're not adding in the 6th arch stone

-Music is all redone with full orchestra because the original recording only exist in digital

-VA work is all rerecorded, but they got back every VA possible from the original.

So far, the only negative thing I actually have to say is that they're keeping the encumbrance. I feel like nobody would have missed this aspect.

I dunno why it took me until this trailer to notice, but is there just no HUD at all? And no health displays for bosses? That's kind of disappointing if that's the case.

Those have been configurable options in more Souls games than you realize. You'll have a HUD. They just turned it off for a more cinematic quality I guess.

I'm sure that's just removed for the sake of the trailer. They don't want to show that the actual numbers are completely faked in these two videos for the sake of the trailer presentation. Obviously you aren't one shoting every enemy in the tutorial.

Also, forgot to note previously that the game will have a bunch of filters, not just in photo mode, including one that adds an original Demon's Souls glaze to the color pallette. There's even a black and white filter, which sounds...interesting.

Visually the only negative I have is why does the death and victory text look so dull?!

They have NOT touched on if they have made any changes to the original crystal lizard system, which is without any sarcasm probably the most important thing we need to know and the thing that most needed to be changed.

Yeah, DeS crystal lizards were the worst.

Yea them doing that and also not picking up the item one of the enemies dropped (even though I fully know it was gonna be a garbage item) hurt me.

Oh yea, am I crazy or should he have died from jumping off and landing into the sand worm pit? I swear doing that kills you usually, unless we're chalking it up to cinematic showing special case

I do wish we had more to see of this game before release. Like, on the surface it's good that they have two raw gameplay sections, but in terms of actual meat we've seen NOTHING, nobody has even opened a menu.

Maybe they feel like they don't need to bother with that stuff since it's a remake?

But Bluepoint was rumored to be working on two major playstatiom products and not just DeS, so I doubt it.

This is the worst thing - the fancy text/subtext on those screens is one of the only things I give DeS over DaS! Gotta have my "bring more souls, slayer of demons."

I turned off the video when they said you should first thing put the game in performance mode so it locks at 60fps.

I mean, isn't that the point of the new consoles? This game drops frames?!
