I took it slow. TBH the first 3 chapters didnt draw me in. Sometime through chapter 4 it started getting a bit more interesting though

That moment where the guy wakes up and is like "this aint over yet" but then the MC passes out seems like its definitely a "to be continued" sort of thing.

If the mastermind is definitely one of the 9 people, the researcher seems to obvious but the MC also seems way too obvious as well. It seems like everyone has a decent enough opportunity to be the mastermind, i'm not suire if thats done on purpose. My guess is yuri

anyways, it doesnt seem natural that everyone starts going crazy like that. I could understand maybe the researcher and his mindset. must be the WX stuff

Root B isn't exactly going to do that either, although it has some interesting stuff too.

I don't know how best to explain it, I guess I just didnt feel attached to the characters to begin with. I didn't feel like I was learning anything about them. They were just running from disaster to disaster. Chapter 4 onwards got a bit better I think, I like the teacher and kazami as well

Well, Root B definitely has you spending more time with its characters, that's for sure. Also, make sure you've got Yuuri's sense set to the maximum you can at all times, otherwise it's likely you'll miss Root B's good ending.

My thoughts right now:

1) Either MC or Kazami (forgot her name, the older of the two rescue workers). Whoever is attacking the survivors seem to be targetting those two. I dont think the 3 students are bad, i dont have anything to base this off other than the fact they are MCs of route B i assume and that conversation the MC had with (i assume) the male student via BC towards the end of the good route. If we considet that they are good, whoever they are targetting are likely to be bad.

2) the cameras clearly showed that MC did not find Yuuri at all, so theres no proof shes dead. I wonder if it was some advanced form of BC. How Sci fi does this VN get? On the level of Zero Escape? Salyu was talking about "last time" when fighting MC but is this referring to a time loop? Whats her name also alluded to this as well in the after credits scene. So maybe this was a memory of another timeline? Or advanced BC. One of the two i think

3) MC didnt go very far into area N so maybe further in. Unless those doors in the background image are just doors to other hallways to other sections rather than other rooms inside area N. In which case, considering she was still alive she could have just been on the move avoiding the main group looking for the other students, and then collapsed in a abandoned room somewhere

4) the mastermind who could be either MC or Kazami or maybe Yuuri. Now that im thinking about it a little more i think it might be kazami. If we dont consider the students could be bad actors, then maybe they got information that someone in sirius is a terrorist. They would assume MC is because of his fight at the start, but i think thats a red herring and MC is less likely to be evil than Kazami is. Yuuri is probably one of those test subjects and is a wild card.

5) teach probably. Why was she in the vent at the start? I should re-read that section but i think it was sus. I dont buy that she just found it and then didnt tell anybody about it and that shes a proficient shooter because of airsoft.

6) yuuri maybe? Shes always running off places and acting sus and she doesnt like AD at all. Those documents said that AD supresses the WX particles or whatever and its related to the test subjects. If she is a test subject herself theres probably a good reason she doesnt want to take them (supresses her power?) And doesnt want others to take them (protects them against her?) Or maybe it really was MC. Yuuri probably isnt malicious but shes a bit dodgy right now imo

Im probably off the mark entirely for everything though but with the info i have right now i think this is a sensible guess. I wouldnt have the foggiest for motives, other than its likely related to the test subjects
