Effect: When this card is summoned, once per duel you may select 3 level 4 or lower monsters from your graveyard and summon 3 "Puppet Tokens" who have the selected monsters name, type, attribute, attack, defense, and level and cannot be tributed. Once per turn one, and only one, token can attack your opponent directly but if you do this the other 2 tokens cannot attack this turn. If you summon (including special summon) one of the monsters the puppet tokens are based on, that token is destroyed and the summoned monster gains attack equal to half of the token's attack until the end phase.

Easy materials for fusion, synchro, & link players. though the "once per duel" condition makes this card mostly useless outside general zombie & dark decks, after the effect. I'm sure it'll be abused enough to get banned, though.

The once per Duel clause was my way of not getting this card banned. Although apparently having any tokens in any situation is bad so I failed.

Link summons totally fucked up the game balance for tokens. Look at Grinder Golem for a perfect example.

Giving yourself two 0/0 tokens and your opponent a 3000 ATK beatstick went from practically useless to completely busted and then banned. Token generation for use in link summons is extremely powerful.

Once per duel thing wouldn't be big enough to keep it from getting banned. Most duels are decided within the first 4-5 turns nowadays so...having a free (up to) link 4 on top of all the other special summon shenanigans to setup their board is busted

It's less having tokens, & more what you can do with them. Summoning this card effectively grants you 4 monsters right off the bat, meaning you can summon most every notable link monster that doesn't require specific materials.

If you want the tokens to not be used for Extra Deck summons, you have to specify that on the card. Like how some of the Frog monsters say they can't be used for Synchro Summons.
