I just finished Red Dead Redemption 2, and man what a fantastic game. I know it's not a priority for Rockstar so we've got like a decade to wait probably, but what would you like to see if they made a third game? I think playing a game as Sadie or Charles would be cool. Or going back into the past again and playing as Arthur's father. I'm also curious to see Jack's story continue, but that is starting to get a bit out of the series setting.

More of RDR2, but with fluid controls and less of a focus on "realistic" gameplay.

Maybe have a toggle option to switch between fluid or realistic modes? I know I liked the attempt at realism as did some of my friends. It definitely added to some immersion. But I can see it being frustrating if you're playing more for the game aspect and less for the immersion.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was supposed to be about Jack Marston,set either between the final mission and the epilogue, or after the epilogue of the first game, before it was changed to take place prior to that (to the point where 2 was almost completely unrecognizable before a lot of things had to be cut down from it due to space, hardware limitations, and budget).

Red Dead Redemption 3 will likely be about Jack Marston, with the opening of the game being the ending of the first game where you play as John as part of the tutorial and his final mission, before going off on its own.

I mean fluid as in the gunplay and movement. But yeah, a toggle to turn off or shorten certain animations (like skinning animals) could be good.

Why doesn't Rockstar want to try to port the first game to PC again? The PC port was only cancelled due to it having one of the worst optimized code of any big budget game (to the point where it was a miracle that it ran at all, much less that it runs better on the base Xbox One which is an underpowered machine). Rockstar could make a lot of money by officially porting Red Dead Redemption 1 and Undead Nightmare, as well as GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories to PC (and it boggles the mind why the latter two never recieved PC ports, despite being mainline games in the series with critical plot points to the 3D canon and gameplay that drastically did 3 and Vice City, with I believe LCS ran on Vice City's engine in a slightly modified Liberty City, while Vice City Stories is, for all intents and purposes, San Andreas but set in Vice City).

I wouldn't mind a more modern era.... .. I mean as far as westerns go

Something like the tail end of the Old West... which is almost where RDR2 is.

Can take place in 1919, someone just getting back from the Western Front to find their homestead confiscated by the government or something

More realism, detail, set maybe even earlier than RDR2. If the time period were to be around the same, the ability to drive vehicles, since they did in fact exist then.

That link confirms literally nothing that you said in your initial post.

Though, I will say, if that part about haircuts being more involved and trying to imitate binaural ASMR is true then I'm super bummed that they cut that.
