Civilizations collapse with no guarentee that another will reach the same level. Given enough time humans could become something unrecognizable. Going back in time, at least you have an idea of what to expect. Supposedly 10,000 years ago is quite mysterious. --- No locked doors, no windows barred. No more things to make my brain seem SKARD. Granted, if I had the ability and it was just a one-way trip, I probably wouldn't want to use it unless I was escaping something. I'd also be iffy on using it if I could come back as well, because I might step on a butterfly or something and return to some horrific future where the US was nuked or something.
