Oh he's been throwing tantrums for a couple days now. He tried to claim any votes against him don't count. He's been filing lawsuits that get thrown out immediately for being frivolous. He tried to stop the counting, but he realized that if that happens he loses. Also now he doesn't want military ballots counted. And when Biden is declared the winner tomorrow (no idea why it wasn't called today. It's obvious Biden won). We are going to see the greatest meltdown in history on Twitter. It's going to be glorious.

I get the feeling he'll barricade himself, as we know by this point, but he'll also call upon his cult to save or protect him from the "suited cronies outside" or something to that effect. Then it'll become a battle between his strongest supporters and the actual Secret Service.

Cut forward some months, and some of his supporters on this board will try to claim it never happened, and that we cannot possibly support the actuality that it had happened, while some others will claim the Battle for 1600 was over something else entirely that totally cannot be proven except by linking tabloids.

Civil unrest, armed conflict at the White house between Trump supporters and Secret Service? That stuff should only happen in third-world countries.

In global humanitirian aid work terms like third-world and first-world have fallen out of favor. I mean that language is specifically tied to Cold War era rhetoric anyway. These days we use terms like developed and developing nations. Though, there are some who prefer to call developing nations "pillaged nations" instead to recognize the history of colonialism that led to their current predicament. Obviously this last term is not as universally applicable as "developing" though.

Secret Service coming to protect Biden in preparation for his victory speech, while his house is declared a no-fly zone. Trump saying he'll barricade himself in the Oval Office and refuse to concede, no matter what. Counting center in Philly evacuated after someone calls in a bomb threat (that doesn't pan out but still hinders counting progress).

Given how many of the races look to wind up absurdly close, recounts are inevitable. Otherwise there's the secondary issue of the media prematurely calling states for Biden based almost solely on polling, in some cases before any results were announced. Of course, I suppose we should be thankful that the media didn't just announce the result a week before election day >_>

I am hoping Trump's refusal to concede doesn't lead to further delegation behind closed doors, well out of the hands of the American people.

Of course, at this point, with the margin of victory that may or may not be growing still, some of Trump's own campaign staff might be urging him to concede, while some others who remain toe the line. Meanwhile, claims of fraud continue, and oh look, the examples seem to point far more to his supporters doing it, and the ones on this board continuing to chime that it was the Dems.

I'm sticking by my 3 year long prediction:

Liquidate his real estate and other assets and move them to off-shore accounts.
January 2021, has Air Force One fly him to Moscow and return w/o him.
Putin sets him up w/ a show on Russia Today to claim the election was stolen and urge his supporters to rise up in insurrection (gotta earn his keep in Russia).
He avoids extradition and thus never has to answer for his crimes in court, while falsely presenting himself as some sort of Snowden-like martyr "forced" to flee the country.

Not sure if the Putin thing is true.
Even if it is, I think it's safe to say the replacement will be hand-picked by Putin, and still hate the U.S. and be in the pocket of wealthy Russian oligarchs trying to get someone in power in the U.S. that will remove the punitive sanctions costing them money.

So, other than "Putin" in the sentence, it'll play out the same.

For that matter, even if we say that the media did prematurely call battleground states and didn't get those predictions right, who cares? The media doesn't decide who actually wins, so calling them prematurely would just make them look silly. The absolute worst that could happen (and this is pretty unlikely because this is not most people's first election) is that calling them prematurely convinces people who wanted them to go that way that they're winning, potentially inciting anger or violence when that apparent victory is snatched away from them, and Trump has been explicitly doing exactly that since the first votes started rolling in, far more so than any media has (including full-on saying that any deviation from his predictions is a result of foul play).
