I tend to not respect authority* in the first place so I'd definitely see a braggart as a braggart

*In terms of station and privilege, I don't mean I dis the police and such

It's stupid and demonstrates a lack of maturity; if someone is abusing their authority it's not your place as someone under it to simply defy them deliberately

I wanted to vote for option three but you kind of threw me off track the way you ended it. Deliberately maybe not as much, and maybe also could demonstrate a lack of authority, but if executed efficiently, can be a powerful catalyst in exposing said abuser's lack of qualifications for their position.

Any hypocrisies usually reveal themselves when it comes down to it. Let's say someone throws out the statement that they hate alcoholics or try to paint someone as a less than intelligent individual due to their own personal choices and ends up being a complete ass or emotionally unhinged in the way they do it - they end up displaying a great case in their ability of how much they are able to actually maturely deal with things, IMO.

Such as that bacon sandwich at a mosque thing, not that I'm defending anyone, or anyone had any authority in that case.

Did you mean flouting authority?

Flaunting authority would be just showing off how much authority you have

Did I? Maybe I did. It's not a word I use frequently.
