Someone was dumb enough to call a landscaping company and ask if they could hold a conference on the premises. Someone equally dumb, or who just wanted easy money, at the landscaping company said yes. They made space in the parking lot.

Again, it's not hard to explain the entire situation as, "lots of people are fucking stupid."

My friend, Trump does not need help looking bad. There's no need for anyone to concoct any sort of plan beyond "let's give him back his twitter password" to achieve that, and there's no reason to presume that him looking bad is a result of some diabolical scheme. Especially not when he hasn't blamed anyone for it, because we all know Trump isn't exactly shy about pointing fingers when he doesn't want to admit to making a mistake.

Reminds me of a story Barry Switzer told about a recruiting trip he made for OU back in the day. Apparently, he snuck around to the back of the house and looked for what kind of beer the recruits Dad drank. He then asked for THAT particular brand during the actual meeting. Slick work really. Helps find a connection. Any good politician could make use of people skills like that.

Of course, sneaking around someones house might not be...uh...ethical or particularly SAFE, but hey, its Barry Switzer...

The dopey Texan thing was kind of an act, but one he played way too well. He can actually be occasionally thoughtful, but it's sadly overshadowed by some grave and serious mistakes on his end that he will never be able to really live down. As a person I think he meant well and was alright, but as a leader calling him controversial is the mildest way to sum up that debacle.

Or someone just that it would be good publicity to have the president hold a press conference outside their business. Outside those who strongly oppose a president whos gonna say no to the president on something like this especially if your getting paid.

Warmonger perhaps, but a tyrant? There were some bad doors opened, but he certainly did not reap the benefits quite like his successors.

In any event, he is either one hell of an actor, or was sincerely just misguided. That's no justification for the largely failed administration, but giving him more credit than that is an overestimation I'd say.

Propel claiming various former presidents were "tyrants" when literally all of those people are **former** presidents because they accepted their losses or term limits and left peacefully, meanwhile the current guy has been refusing to agree he would leave for months now after 5 years of praising dictators and his supporters are like, "I don't see any red flags here please tell me more about Clinton because that's still relevant."

Cheney ran a lot of shady stuff, but as to whether that was solely on him, or if Bush had a direct hand in any of it it's hard to say. Bush did more delegation than actual management, which is to say he felt confident in the people who put in those positions. I suppose you could argue it's a clever tactic to avoid getting dirt on himself, but again, anyone proposing he was some sort of evil genius might have been giving too much credit where it clearly was not due.

Rumsfeld on the other hand was, if I recall rightly, actually trying to resign, and Bush didn't accept it. You don't go out on a limb for a guy that is uniformly disliked like that unless there is some sort of positive. Which is to say Rumsfeld was a complete negative and benefited nothing, expect pissing people off. Real tyranny there yo.

For six years Bush was just inept, and the last two years of his presidency was too little to late, facing a largely mismanaged situation that threatened the stability of the entire country by the time he left.
