So all the NPCs you meet would be lizard people? Or like 90% of them would be? Would this be a good idea IYO?

Black Marsh in lore is said to be basically mostly impenetrable by non-Argonians. I also feel the environment wouldn't have a lot of variation besides swamp and marsh.

Yea I think it would be troublesome. Could make a cool DLC though.

They could always play with the lore a bit. Like Cyrodiil was supposed to be dense jungle and open plain up until Oblivion, with the explanation that one of the emperors (Reman Cyrodiil or Tiber Septim, can't recall which) basically reshaped the land.

Or how werebears were originally said to be the most common lycanthrope in Skyrim, but by the 4th Era they were only really prevalent in Solstheim.

I know what you mean. Didn't play Oblivion but there are definitely ways to work with the lore.

I was just thinking about that while making this topic. Elsweyr could be awesome.

Unless they change the lore around, it wouldn't make sense.

Half the fun to me, is the mystery.

Well IF they made it a DLC, there could be just a small portion of the Black Marsh that is made visitable, and the rest is still very off limits. Like you could even see it in the distance but couldn't go near it. That'd be neat if they handle it properly.

I had an Argonian really piss me off in Skyrim. He was being an asshole and not properly following me when I had a quest to help him escape a dungeon. I get angry at games easily and frequently, but this was on a whole new level. I had to jump through asinine hoops to finally get him out and that was even after a google search about him (although every result said he is glitched as fuck). It didn't help that he was constantly spamming me with lines like "yes?" and "do you need something?" or whatever... Like... yeah buddy I need something. I need you to FUCKING FOLLOW ME LIKE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO INSTEAD OF TURNING AROUND AND WALKING BACK TO YOUR DAMN SPAWN POINT IF I GET MORE THAN 5 FEET AWAY FROM YOU!! My follower isn't exactly great about keeping up with me and even then he's probably sick of dealing with your bullshit by now too." Even when I finally managed to drag his ass to the exit, I had to shout him outside and get an assault bounty on me before I could actually get the quest done, which I would have never even thought to do if I hadn't googled him. That was the dumbest shit I've ever had to deal with in that game... and I've seen some dumb shit... from an NPC following me getting himself killed because he decided to run almost off screen to fist-fight a bear in the distance that didn't even notice me to a bandit chief in a ruins area walking right off a balcony within seconds of me aggroing him and falling like 200 feet to his death (I was maybe 30 or 40 feet up on a different ledge).

No... the whole appeal of TES is being able to craft whatever character you want. No one wants to be pigeonholed into being Argonian.

Even a main game could be set in a small part of the black marsh. Morrowind did it

You didn't have to be an Imperial in Oblivion or a Nord in Skyrim. You can play as an outsider
