The originals had tough sections but they weren't like this. Unlike the originals, I don't want to replay these levels to get the gems, especially the no more than 3 deaths one.

Let me start by saying I still like 4 and it DOES feel like a Crash game. However, the first was mainly fair with few frustrating features. This is nothing but frustrating.

its not really like either. The mechanics arent super challenging, but the depth perception isnt great and the levels are SO long that the difficulty feels artificial imo

4 isnt that hard, unless youre going for 100% which is insanely tedious

beating the game, even unlocking all the levels, isnt notably hard imo. The checkpoint system is very generous and the adjustable difficulty helps out

I never played those original games, but yeah, it ended up on the frustrating side for me. Let alone trying to be a completionist.

Bingo. I never had an issue placing Crash in the first 3, even in the N. Sane Trilogy. This one, even with the optional yellow circle around your shadow, I can't ever seem to place him right.
