I can't believe I'm admitting this but old CE helped change some of my more conservative views into more progressive ones. It also helped me realize some flaws in my thinking and I do think it did help me become a better person in some ways. Current CE is just LOL.

CE is best used to just vent and talk. It just helps you get your thoughts out of your head and on paper (figuratively).

The problem is you are sacrificing major productivity time. Not a single person here can say they don't waste time on CE.

insofar as there's a huge concentration of young professionals here, with lucrative careers and good support structures and loved ones, so i hold myself to unrealistic (for myself) standards and get upset that i'm not doing as well

nah I don't know any video gamers in real life so it's nice to hang out on CE in the mornings while I work out

This pretty much - I dont really game anymore, but Ive been trying to get back into it for the sake of my sanity.

Theres some great people here though that Im glad to have conversations with - Ive always been more honest with strangers than people Im close to

I was on here at... an impressionable age. it was not good for me then. and it's kinda neutral for me now, but still leaning towards the Bad end of things.
