Bananas are high in potassium and according to google Potassium is a mineral and an electrolyte. It helps your muscles work, including the muscles that control your heartbeat and breathing.

It helps with not getting cramps, not so much with DOMS. Like youre less like to get a charlie horse in your sleep then but not really general muscle soreness.
