I learned recently that Japan heavily use fax for everything and when you get your paycheck you have to manually submit it at the local convenience store by fax or something

You cant use cheques at all here in the UK. And the US took ages to catch on to chip and pin as well aw contactless lol.

Basically, I'm glad the grocery store near my house disallows people paying with a check in the "15 item or less line". Got really fucking annoying when I just need some ingredients for cooking.
