Its not bad at all in the cutscene department like previous games.

Despite its story flaws and a repetitive second half, definitely worth $6 at least.

Best gameplay of the series.

Not as much of one as MGS4 was thank god. Besides Kojima not being able to finish MGS5's story as he wanted due to budget issues the game is legit and pretty great though. Easily has the best MG gameplay in the entire series. The only gameplay flaw it has is not being able to aim and shoot while driving a vehicle. Had tons of fun with FOB invasions / protection and MGO for a couple of months after it first came out. Shame it's shell of it's former self now due to almost no one playing online, but I still have incredibly fond memories of those times.

Gameplay is pretty good but it is one of the dumbest plots Ive ever seen in a game, it is hours of literal nonsense and the entire point of the game is to rationalize a plot hole kojima created after mgs4. also the ending is missing lol

Ironically one flawed aspect that set MGS4 back is the same thing that Phantom Pain didn't have enough of because it wasn't a complete game.

MGS2 and MGS4 mostly. MGS2 has a ton of Codec conversations. MGS4 literally has a movie-length cutscene and it clocks in at a full nine hours of them.

Skipped all of the cutscenes
Maybe an hour at most of non-skippable stuff

The achievement for completing the prologue only has a 66% attainment rating. That means 1/3 gave up in the hospital scene LOL

And they it just kicked me out of the longest, hardest mission so far (Hellbound), because I "left the mission area" when they told me to run. This game freaking sucks. 3/10.
