I'd say the fact that they're too busy trying to survive means they're less likely to commit suicide. Endgame 11/25/20 6:13:07 AM #7:	People in poor countries have stronger unity, and thus, better support circles. Families and even neighbors stick together during the bad times. A guy working a dead end job in America after moving away from his family doesn't have that kind of support. And we sure as fuck don't have much in terms of unity. Hell, even our families get torn apart over politics. (Not to say it's not undeserved. When one side is fucking politicizing wearing face masks.....) It should also be noted that in Japan which is infamous for high suicide rates that police are prone to label homicides they have no leads for as suicides just to call it a day and not actually do any fucking investigation. In the US unless you're a politician and get super powerful you can't really change things (generally) unless you devote your entire life to that change and even then it might not be enough. But in some smaller areas with small communities everything you do matters. For example, what if a farmer gets sick? "Fuck we all need to go help him or we'll be out of food" is the mindset in some places. That carries a lot of stress but also a lot of reward. For everyone reading this, outside of your immediate family, what impact do you really feel you have?
