Eyes Wide Shut is the best Kubrick film, and I'm not even saying this as a personal preference -- I honestly think it's his most well made film. It slightly edges out over 2001.

There's nothing wrong with Seed of Chucky. It's not a great film by any means - but it's not the terrible film people pretend it is. It's funny, it's entertaining, and it has a cool John Waters cameo.

Terminator 2 is a bloated, expensive blockbuster film that's way overrated. The first film was a masterful piece of atmospheric brilliance, that managed to keep its plot vague enough to elicit some mystery. The sequel kind of tossed all that out the window.

Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey is a fantastic film, and leagues better than its predecessor. Excellent Adventure does not hold up AT ALL; I legitimately can't understand most peoples' preference for it.

The best role Keanu Reeves ever did was River's Edge.

Nightmare on Elm Street 2 is a good film -- and easily the third best in the franchise, and if you think otherwise you're probably a homophobe who watches Rob Zombie films.

Basket Case 2 is better than Basket Case. Basket Case 2 and 3 have that intentional goofiness that I kind of feel like defines Hennenlotter. If you watch Frankenhooker especially, you'll see that they're incredibly similar in tone. Basket Case 2 manages to be a hilarious film that's still every bit as entertaining as the first, even if it lacks the funny stop-motion animation.

The Matrix films bore the hell out of me, and are the neckbeardiest films ever. Hell - the film was even the inspiration for the name behind the red pill movement. I can't speak for how well they're made - because I've only seen the first, and both times I fell asleep like halfway through. I'm sure they're at least somewhat competently made, even if they repulse me.

Goblin is kinda goofy, and I'm not a fan of Argento. I think the music in Deodato films is waaay better. The opening track in Cannibal Holocaust is better than any Goblin song, and all the songs in House on the Edge of the Park blow away just about any horror movie scores.

Marty is wrong about his MCU shenanigans. He's just an old man shouting at a cloud. Tell his CNA to get his lidocaine patch and help him get into bed.

The Thing isn't that special.

All three Human Centipede films have merit. The first is just a pretty solid film that rode on its controversial plot. The second film is well shot, well edited (for the most part), and does a good job at shocking its audiences. The third film is fantastically acted by its lead, even if everything about it is kind of over-the-top and comedic.

Freddy Got Fingered is a top 20 comedy of all time.

I haven't watched them since I was a child, but I remember even being bored with them back then. They were films that were constantly on television and I kind of didn't care when they were.

US isn't as good as Get Out - but the gap in quality isn't as big as people like to pretend. Obviously a film about appropriation during times when our focal social issues regard race is going to resonate more with people than a film about classism; most people aren't very class-aware. US was just as meticulously directed, had just as much attention to detail, and is just as pretty and well shot as Get Out - even if its allegorical plot is full of holes and is somewhat predictable. I honestly think it does a better job at addressing class than Society or People Under the Stairs. It may not be quite as good as They Live, though.

TMNT 3 is the best of the 90's trilogy, with the caveat that I had no real expectations going in.

8 1/2 isn't really that good, and I consider La Dolce Vita and Amarcord to be masterpieces (probably La Strada too, but I need to give it another look.)

I've seen a half dozen Antonioni films and Red Desert is the only one I really liked, though Blow Up was OK.

My Son, My Son What Have Ye Done and Where the Green Ants Dream are as good as anything Herzog ever did.

I haven't actually seen any blaxploitation films other than boss n*.
I know people i meet at horror/exploitation conventions i go to would probably judge me for that.
I'm sure I'd like it if i got around to it.

On the topic of vampires:
Let me in is better for casual audiences ,and almost as good from a critical perspective, as let the right one in. I wholly disagree with most complaints. Most notably i think the red tones suit the film better than the white tones.

Storytelling is #3 for me. I think the classist little boy has some fantastic lines, and its twists hit on all the wrong/ right levels. I think it's insanely under-talked about.

I just think palindromes is so well crafted and has an attention to detail. All the names, room numbers, and even the plot itself are all palindromes. I like the changes in the lead role, too. Also all the dr.dan stuff is hilarious.

Nightmare on Elm Street 2 is a good film -- and easily the third best in the franchise, and if you think otherwise you're probably a homophobe who watches Rob Zombie films.

The second movie is easily the most perverted movie in the series. Unnecessarily so, too. It has nothing to do with homosexuality, either. The next movies didnt include that level of filth because the audience didnt like it the first time.

I don't like ANY Kubrick movies. I find them boring and he really didn't like to cast black people. The black character that he seeming had to use was from the Shining . And that character lived in the book and was in other books after the fact. Beyond that I don't like them on a move making level. I find them boring and slow.

I don't like any gangster movie; just the subject matter is just blah to me.

Requiem for a dream is my most hated movie, hands down. I don't think it's "sad" or "shocking" because it fails to capture the feeling and character development of the book. All the characters are overacted. The part in the book where she exchanges sexual favors for drugs is totally ruined by being changed into the exaggerated "ass to ass" scene. It was intentionally exaggerated to "omg shock" casual audiences, and is more laughable than actually shocking or sad. It was a cheap shot that's not effective to anybody who actually watches shock films

Friday The 13th Part 5 is not the worst film in the series, Jason Goes To Hell is.

Rob Zombie's Halloween remake and sequel are not the worst movies in the series, Halloween Resurrection is.

The original Star Wars trilogy actually isn't better than all of the others, they were just the first so people like them the most.

All of the Terminator films are crap

The Mortal Kombat movie isn't good, it's a pg movie with barley any blood or fatalities that is not true to the source material. The recent animated movie is much better.

Showa era Gamera movies are better than Showa era Godzilla movies, with the exception of the original Godzilla and, considering they share the same universe, Mothra. Its a goddamn hoot that the more kid friendly of the two franchises, at least at that time, were also more violent and gruesome. That the 90s trilogy of films are downright classics is no contraversial opinion; everyone already agrees they're three of the best kaiju movies ever made, but I thought the most recent entry, which leans into the 'kiddy' territory and evokes E.T. more than anything, is a lovely little movie in its own right, and a reboot of the franchise following it would have been very interesting.

Even though the monster designs and the special effects surrounding them are pretty bad, Pitch Black is a really engaging genre movie, and for the most part the rest of its visuals are pretty great. The 4K Blu-ray is really worthwhile.

A.I. is Spielberg's best and most interesting movie.

The Beast is a legitimately great movie, and the sequence that rustles everybody's jimmies (in which the titular beast has unconsensual sex with a woman in the woods) is goddamn incredible and also hilarious.

Harry Langdon was a better comedian and filmmaker than Harold Lloyd; he rightly deserves his place among the giants of silent movie comedy and is, in my opinion, the true third giant (after Keaton and Chaplin), and the tarnishing of his reputation after death is one of the greatest crimes committed against a deceased artist of the last century.

Last House On The Left is one of the best horror movies of the 70s, and though Wes Craven diverged from it and developed his own distinct and esteemable voice, he never made a film more impactful or interesting than it.
