Could you

I'm not talking Superman/Clark Kent here. I mean like Hulk/Banner, Jekyl/Hyde, Price Adam/He-Man, Ben/Glory.

Actually becoming a different person who despite being aware of each other have completely different personalities, wants, needs, skills, attitudes are just inhabit the same physical location.

So say it's a cute mild-mannered ordinary girl called Sara Garnet who in times of crisis holds aloft her Runestone of Sarevok, chants the magic ritual 'Baweepgrannaweepninnybong!' and becomes the hero The Storm Angel

The Storm Angel has literal superpowers and flies around stopping crime. Then reverts back to Sara Garnet once the day is saved.

Dating Sara would be a complicated relationship. Any plans you make might be hampered by a sudden crisis, if something serious is happening she might have to become The Storm Angel for weeks. And on top of all the generic relationship drama she'd be dealing with the realities of having this super-alter ego constantly inserting itself into her life. Her career etc.

And dating The Storm Angel would be even harder. She'd barely be around and you'd get all the dangers of being the "Hero's weak point" that all the villains target. Plus the risks of dating someone with super-strength.

Not to mention the awkwardness of going to bed with The Storm Angel and then waking up with Sara in your bed in the morning who is visably irritated and like "Ugh not again" before demanding you drive her home since her car isn't here as she flew in as The Storm Angel etc.

Replace with male if you're that way inclined.

It's a toughie to think about. Could you do it? Could you date her?
If so which?
