I moved into a new apartment on the 2nd. It isn't terrible but I just don't feel at home yet. I bought tons of shit for it and explored the area, but this all just feels so new. I am new to Phoenix as well and I get worried I might walk or drive into a bad area.

Any tips on feeling more at home?

I seem to remember getting settled in rather quickly in the house I live in now, but that was almost 8 years ago and I was about 14 at the time. Combined with my inability to remember what I ate for breakfast this morning, it's hard for me to truly say. And every other house I've moved to was when I was super young so I can't remember that even if my memory was normal. For what it's worth, I've lived in Maryland my whole life, so even when moving there's still a sense of familiarity for me.

Though I AM moving soon (like, hopefully within a week or so), and to a different state at that (New York), so if this topic is still up after then and I think of it I'll let you know if I feel the same way you are right now.

Well if you live in the same apartment as my friend, you're already in a bad neighborhood.
