It depends on the destination tbh. My family always used to go camping at this rustic cabin in a state park forest on the beach and it was fun because there was so much freedom. People brought friends and stuff and we all just did our own thing. Wed sit around the huge bonfires we built at night cooking and drinking and playing party games.

how/why do adults go on vacation with their parentsYou serious dude? If you have good parents growing up..ones that feeds you, shelters you, supports you financially and emotionally and wants to spend time with you, you have to do the same. We don't live forever man. It's likely our parents will go out first. Take it from me with my dad having brain cancer and might not live to see 2022. I wish I spent more time with him and not directed my venter anger to him when he didn't deserve it. He wasn't perfect, but he was a good dad and did what he could do with how he was raised. Don't have this mentality of being embarrassed from your parents and not spending enough time with them, until your parents get sick. It will be too late then. Create as many good memories as you can with them. You'll deeply regret it if you don't. And when you get kids, you'll want good relationships with your kids. --- Less is more. I spend time with my parents regularly but have a rule where I can't spend more than 4 consecutive hours with them, otherwise it'll inevitably end up uglyEverybody needs a break. You don't have to be with them 24/7, but you should spend some quality vacation time with them.l every year. My dad wanted to go to turkey, mexico and some countries in the middle east, and kept telling me to make plans, and now it likely will never happen because he is too sick. You say that shit now, but you're going to be drowning in regret when they reach their end, and when you get kids too. Really, it just shows you are so absorbed into yourself and that you are stubborn and never really tried to have a relationship with them. If you can't have a good relationship with your parents, it will show in relationships Learn from my mistakes. I was just like you. I took my parents for granted and didn't want to spend time with them. Even simple walks. I chose not to be close to them, when they wanted to be close to me. And look now. My dad got diagnosed with brain cancer in may and got a stroke months later and be will never the same and will likely die this year. He doesn't want to do anything but sleep for 20 hrs a day and keeps telling me he is going to die. My mom already has her own health issues and sacrificed her career to take care of him.. Your parents are gonna die some day bro, and then you will realize that you aren't immortal and you will too someday. Hopefully not painfully and slowly like my dad. We only got one life man. I love vacationing with my family. They are easy to get along with and very responsible. We dont need alarms or a wake up call, or anything like that. They plan their itinerary months in advance and know what they need to bring. We still check out things that are unplanned and are good at problem solving as a team. Nobody whines (its kind of our family rule) and we always look out for each other financially and from a safety standpoint.
Damn, writing it out makes it sound fake, but they really are ideal travel mates. In fact, this thread is motivating me to plan a trip for post-Covid fun. Thanks, TC --- ... ... Copied to Clipboard!

No_U_L7 posted... I agree, why does everyone ITT act like good parents are common...they are extremely rareDefine a good parent? Because my parents weren't perfect. I grew up with immigrant parents who had different values than what what I grew up with in America. There were many things I wished I had that all the american kids had. They weren't very outgoing, they were strict and didn't give me certain freedoms that american kids had. I couldn't talk to them about dating growing up as a young adult , because they didn't believe in it... But they did the best they could do with the knowledge they had and practiced and wanted the best for my family. At the very least they gave me food, shelter, taught me life skills, supported my education and they were there for my at my lowest. Tenlaar posted... It's annoying as shit when somebody acts like their life experiences are universal. I said if you had good parents that treated you right, you are obligated to do the same for them. My parents were far from perfect, but they did good. If you grew up in a broken and abusive home, then my apologies. But deep down you know that you wouldn't want the same bad experience same for your kids when you have them. And you would want to be close to them and have a better life then you did. I'm sorry that you never got to experience that. There are some types of relationships I also haven't really experienced as well, and part of that I would say has to do with how I was raised. But I won't use that as a crutch and I won't resent my parents for it. I resented my dad for many things. I wished he didn't take my mom for granted and was a better husband and few other things that were minor, but in the end, some people will never change.. but at least he had far many good things that outweighed any negative traits. He wasn't abusive, thankfully --- Less is more. Everything you want, isn't everything you need. ... Copied to Clipboard!
