You can't accidentally walk off cliffs if there's nothing below

I still like Bloodborne better

Combat and boss fights are unquestionably more difficult than Souls.

But other than that yeah that's mostly true.

I think it depends on which one you did first. I did Sekiro, and then Dark Souls 3, and Dark Souls 3 was a much easier game for me.

Also, who the hell cares about fall damage. Is falling off a cliff your number way of dying? And being able to build your character makes the game easier, not harder.

yea, enemies and bosses are more difficult, and you can't summon for help, if that's something you sometimes do.

leveling up your health and attacks are also harder to do.

besides all of that, then yea.

Outside of arm augments and some special arts, the core gameplay style is one way. It's built around countering and parrying. Not saying that's bad at all, it's just very focused.

Dark Souls and Demon Souls gives players toolkits. Some tools are better inately in certain encounters than others. Some players are inately more skilled with different tools in the toolkit.

For lots of folks, the straight up counter parry system, in any game, can be very hard. Sekiro being built around this mechanism and only this mechanism makes it much harder for folks. It certainly did me. However, the focused style of Sekiro means more internally balanced fights even though they're quite hard.

Look man sometimes falling off a ledge is a faster route than going around to take the ladder. Not to mention that it only takes like a 2 foot drop for you to lose health.
