I remember the "Boss Fight" being terrible and boring and dumb but from a plot perspective I forgot how awful it was.

They spend the entire game hyping him up.

Cash says they keep him in a giant Sewer and just forget about him.

1. If that's true why he was being paraded around at the start (at night)
2. WTF Kind of mental help is that?
3. He's been wandering free and taunting you for like entire game so...What's the point in the cell? Why he is still there?

Then he just turns up at the end of Scarecrow's part and beats the crap out him for literally no reason during the climax, bringing the best part of the game to a really unsatisfactory ending.

I wanna see a movie where during the big dramatic finale between the villain and human some random guy runs in and beats the fuck out of the villain for literally no reason.

Would be a fun end to Empire Strikes Back. Suddenly Ivan Drago runs in at Cloud City and pushes Darth Vader's shit in for no reason.

But then Kroc's lair itself... What's with it? Why did the gate shut the moment you tried to leave? Why was it effortless to open? If it's too stop Kroc then how? He's a powerhouse? And it never came down when you entered. WTF is with that portcullis?

Every aspect of him from plot to game design seems like it's a much lower standard than the entire rest of the game. Like the boss of the project hired some girl he had a crush on purely because she was hot and she didn't really know what she doing and she was in charge of Kroc's parts.

Craziest part is he's already pretty much a walking video game boss fight and they still fucked it up

Dont know what your problem is with one of the minor villains being killed by another minor villain. Scarecrows role in the game was done, so he got taken out by Croc in a fun surprise.

Because it was dumb.

There was no reason or purpose for it.

If it was TweedleDumb I'd get your point but Scarecrow actually had time and baggage and had no connection to Kroc.

It's just total non sequitur and anti-climax. Batman never even got to punch Scarecrow and Scarecrow/Kroc have no beef.

If they established Kroc was effected by Scarecrow's gas and that's why he's been doing fuck all the entire game, it might have worked.But as it stands it's just poor writing

Croc eats humans. He doesnt need a beef with someone to eat them. And Batman doesnt punch a lot of his supervillains because theyre weak humans who would get knocked out with one punch. He only fought Joker because he had super steroids (which was stupid and widely criticized).

If Batman and Robin ended with Zsasz running in and stabbing Poison Ivy to death for absolutely no reason, it would be totally fucking weird.

It's one of the most memorable parts of the game, but only for how bad it was. Cool idea, poor execution. Probably the only low point of the game.

Joker and Batman have exchanged fisticuffs before. Joker cant hold Bats off very long but hes a skilled unarmed fighter in his own right and usually has a trick up his sleeve.

Its a bit odd that you relate Scarecrow in Arkham Asylum to Darth Vader, as Scarecrow is not the main villain in that game.

That being said, Croc is a fucking weird character in that universe as is King Shark. Im assuming they were created around the same time as Grodd but I've never been a fan of human and animal hybrid villains in any medium.

I thought you were going to mention the actual section because boy is that part boring to play. Crouch to walk silent, throw a batterang to knock his collar, get 8 enzymes to make a cure, run away. Its just incredibly dull.

Its to foreshadow that there's another way to get into Crocs layer in the sewers via the elevator in Intensive Treatment. They foreshadow it again when you are in the sewers after getting the Batclaw (I think) and you come across that door that can't be opened because Croc says he can smell you.

It sounds silly when you say it out of context "Joker took magic drugs to become a big muscle monster and fight Batman" but in context it made sense

Joker's plan was already foiled. He had lost. The city was saved, he never got his army, Scarecrow/Ivy/Harely were defeated and Batman took the bullet for Gordon and was resisting the change.

Joker injected himself as a hail mary to force Batman to give in to TITAN in order to have a big monster fight for the lulz. He figured he'd lost anyway so either Batman changes into a giant monster freak infront of everyone or he doesn't change and then dies.

It makes sense if you play the game

City was really good but the main plot was pretty silly--we're going to just turn part of the city into a big jail...WTF?

I like Knight the best even if it's got too much bat tank in it--best and darkest plot of them all IMO

Since when has arkham ever shown it tries to help their patients. At least the super villain ones. Its basically a prison for those the courts deem too insane for prison.
