Woke circles recently started trivialising the term and call any age gap "grooming" some 30 years old was dating a 23 and they did use that word. It's cringe and disrespectful toward the actual victim. Metoo is supposed to be for victims, not weird witch hunters.

16 to me is pushing it but its not crazy, just walking a thin line to me.

It depends on when they started their "relationship". If you're 35 and you're dating a 16 year old that you've been going to church with for 10 years that's definitely a red flag. A bit of an extreme example, but still.

21 for women, 25 for men but full emotional maturity is 32 for women, 43 for men. Guess we should raise the age of consent to mid-life and also raise all other age limits like having a job, driving, and being able to choose your own medical procedures until then as well. Interesting study but I don't think you can generalize things like emotional maturity. I've met very young, very emotionally mature people, and people in their 60s who still throw temper tantrums.

Thats a generalization, though. Theres too much variance amongst 18-40 year olds, for us to be speaking like the differences are facts.

I started dating my boyfriend when he was 20 and I was 29. How exactly is that immoral? I never ever tried to control him because I am older. 18 and 40 is unlikely to be a good match I agree, but I don't think it's worthy lf prison if the both consent to it.

move to west virginia, lol. those country mountain girls are ready to GET DOWN like a wild animal. ;) The best part is even if they're like 16 or 17 they're pretty mature for their age, BUT insanely beautiful still. You get it all.

I'm normally against putting arbitrary numbers on things but honestly having it at 16-18 with criminal consequences below that really does make society a much better place. Older guys messing with 13-15 year olds should have his ass handed to him.

I'm 31 and getting to the point where I want to stop with the hookup thing and find someone to spend my life with. Have been enjoying the company of girls in the 35-45 range...it's nice to have maturity and stability in the older gals. Can't wait to settle down with the right one.
