I solved Rivel's pickiness so far: chicken bone broth.

I bought chiken foot and heads for cheap in local market, toss em in crock pot and left for work, voila both cats dig it like it's michelin star menu

Nope still doesn't work. Aaaugh i am so frustrated. Tired.

I am this close of giving up. I live alone and taking care of 2 cats that doesn't get along is a lot of work.

I think at the very least i can act as foster parent and find a good home for her i don't know. I feel really bad, but it's really chipping at my mental health. Between Rivel's becoming antsy and finicky with food, and basically doing care twice for each cat.

I'm really sorry bud - you've put in a lot 9f work so it's understandable that you'd hope to see more results. Don't look too far into the future just keep looking one day at a time. :)

They are starting to get along!!

I got them to sleep on the same sofa with me. Rivel on her usual place, me on my usual place and silver on my body.

I guess after that every body realized they aren't gonna attacked in their sleep, and start to warm up to each other.

Some hissing still happen if silver started to invade Rivel's personal space (paw distance) but they look more curious of each others instead of being wary.

Here are both checking an ice cube

Is it play bite or hurt bites? Some cats love bites when they are happy, they usually won't draw blood, but puny human skin are fragile so it might cause some scratch, but it won't bleed hard, more like a prick like when you get your blood tested with those needle pen thing.

Silver is doing zoomies for an hour and half non stop. I just want to sleep.

It's either the first time she can finally give out steam after 2 weeks spending most of her time in the bathroom, or this is her normal energy level.

It's usually a playbite. She does a lot of play and love bites. She'll kinda chew on my hand (not biting down at all) and then lick sometimes. She's a strange kitty, but she's had a rough life.

My old cat did little love nips too, but he'd just come up, do a gentle chomp, and then be on his way. Or he'd try to eat my hair.

Anyone get their pets Christmas gifts? I got mine a box that has multiple holes in it; the idea is that they can reach in and try to grab the toys inside. They both seem to like it. I also got a "cat pad" (feels like a square of burlap) that the old lady cat seems to enjoy. I also bought her a new blanket, but it's in the washer right now.

Each got a bag of treats.

Kerbey got a toy that has this crinkly paper stuff inside. Charley got a squeak toy with a squeaker that only dogs can hear.

I bought and assembled a new entertainment center tonight (after using the same one since I was in high school).

Both cats crawled into the box it came in and tried to climb on the shelves. Way more into that than the toys I bought specifically for them. Cats are jerks.

Edit: Found a pic of the 6 month old cat I'm adopting. One of my fraternity "brothers" (co-ed so its actually a girl) fosters cats and I'm adopting it from her. She's just bad at taking pics because the cat looks like a demon in photos but an angel in the videos she posted. Demon gato:

Carbs are bad for them and too much oil basically acts as a laxatives. Salt are pretty bad for cats. Small tiny amount are fine.

Oh, of course, she only gets a tiny bit. She gets so upset with me when I won't share more than two or three cat sized bites with her, but I always tell her that any more will make her sick.

She will eat almost anything. My old cat would only eat some "human food" like chicken or turkey (and he would often demand a bite of your food even if he wouldn't eat it). My other cat refuses to eat anything that isn't cat food and shows zero interest in anything else. This little garbage rat dug through my trash to eat stale Cheez-its the first chance she got and she will get in my face if I'm eating anything that smells good to her. Poor baby probably still thinks that she has to scrounge for food like she lives on the streets.

No, they still hiss and swat at each other time to time, but no one is out to hurt anyone. It has been going ok. At the very least they have achieved coexist.

The biggest problem is i think size difference. Sometimes rivel would try to play, but silver got scared because rivel is literally twice her size, but sometimes silver is on the attacking end. I have put few videos and show to to some more experienced people on reddit and other websites, they said the spat seems normal and they aren't outright hostile so i just leave them be. It's determining the pecking order in the house or somethint like that.

Rivel go crazy for fried chickens, always climbing the table and wrestling my finger to steal a bite lol.

Yeah, it takes time to even get to the coexistence stage for two cats not raised together.

My first two cats were about a year apart and they never really got along, although Murray attempted to be friendly. Chowder just didn't like anyone besides me.
