I've played enough of it to say it isn't a total ripoff of BotW, meaning that it stands on it's own. That's definitely what they were going for though. It's undeniable this game is heavily inspired by BotW.

Combat is fairly basic at first but as you unlock new gear and upgrades it gets more varied and interesting.

Just like BotW most of the puzzles are fairly straightforward. Haven't encountered one yet that's had me stumped more than a moment. Still, they're fun puzzles and there's just enough variety to keep them interesting.

The story is okay. I can see the humor being very divisive. You'll either enjoy it or you'll find it very cringey. I'm sort of in between. The jokes make me roll my eyes but in a good way

Map is littered with things to do and enemies to fight. Nooks and crannies to explore.

I don't like to recommend purchases because everyone has different tastes, but I think if you enjoyed BotW and you're looking for something to scratch that itch, this game hits on enough of the BotW formula to get the job done and be enjoyable. I'm pleasantly surprised with how much fun I'm having. Wasn't expecting this to be like BotW (I haven't been following this game outside the odd trailer here and there)

I believe so. "Vaults of Tartaros" seems to fit that bill based on what I've heard.

Nah I'd say the vaults are closer to the shrines in BotW unfortunately. I don't think there are any dungeons in the sense that Zelda typically features dungeons. I have completed one larger vault that had a boss fight in it, but it was literally that - a larger vault. Wouldn't call it a dungeon.
