I'm a gamer and my gaming time is precious. Same reason I don't have pets. Because they are annoying and mouthy and always want something. It's like coming home from work and immediately bombarded with all this noise. I just want my 5min vacation...

Financial reasons, kids are annoying and gross, I already have poor sleep and energy, I'm gay, overpopulation, etc. Sooo yeah not likely to happen lol.
If it did happen I'd consider adopting a kid that was at least 7.

I know the process is expensive so you have to consider that.

I mean I make enough money to support a child. I will soon own a house fit to raise a child in. I'm a teacher so I'm literally paid to be around children, so that's gotta count for something.

I grew up in a family of 12 kids (9 still living), and have plenty of nieces and nephews, so no interest in having children of my own.

There's still plenty of time, but the thought of raising a kid as they go through life... I just think about how much I had to go through just to get to where I'm at and it's so bothersome. I'm a supremely lazy person, but I'd care too much to half-ass it, so I'd be constantly stressed. It just doesn't appeal to me. Bothersome is the perfect word to sum it up.

I have 2 kids but I can definitely see why its not for everyone. Kids are expensive as hell (daycare alone costs us $2000/month), they take up a LOT of your time, you rarely to never have time for yourself unless theyre sleeping, and you cannot do whatever you want the same way you used to before because theres ALWAYS the stress of needing someone to watch them

Fear of what could happen to them. I've lost a child before, I don't really want to again, as unlikely as it is, its still a thought thats permanently etched into my brain. I guess I'd worry too much, and I like not worrying about anything or anyone. Its easier.

Why? They understand what they want, unlike dumbasses who have kids because "that's the thing to do" and they're miserable as fuck as they're stuck with kids that it turns out they don't actually want and the kids suffer because they're raised by someone who doesn't actually want them.

I go back and forth on whether or not I want kids.

Years ago, I definitely wanted them, but I also believed that I would be further along in my life than I am now, so many things got reevaluated. The idea of having a kid is somewhat appealing, but at the same time, they are expensive, stressful, and time-sinks. I 100% value my alone time, and having a kid would basically drain all of my free time.

There's also the fact that I feel that the world is about to capsize on its current course, and it's going to be the next two generations who are going to have to deal with the problems that were set in motion by the Baby Boomers. I don't want to bring a child into that; it's bad enough that my nephew will have to deal with it when he gets older.

You thought taking care of a dog is kinda of tedious, imagine doing that but for more and not only for the short-term (diapers, baby food, milk, baby shows, clothes, etc.), but also for the long-term too (like we're talking about like at least 15 fucking years), up until their a young adult and/or independent enough

Try telling that to the 50 somethings in here jobless and still living with their parents. Another reason why I dont want kids.

Why is it useless? Why is better to add another mouth to feed to the population? What if the kid turns out to be a leech on society? Then I bet you'd say "3pies should have pulled out/ 3pies wife should have swallowed".

Imagine having to spend entire weekends at your SOs parents house visiting and get an ear full if you say you don't want to do that.

I have one daughter, and my wife and I agreed to only have one child. But we also have 1 dog, and 2 cats.
