forget about the dumb AI in the citadel. Forget about the blue, green and red doors.

Have the cruciable just be a standard doomsday weapon, that contributes massively to the fight against the reapers. Have the final fleet battle play out like the suicide mission. I.e. the player chooses which races/war assets do what, attempt to play to their strengths etc. And depending on how well the player chooses (and of course how many allied races you picked up, war assets etc), how much carnage there is for the allied races and whether Shepard lives

Yeah I would have preferred some kind of anti-Reaper tech that would allow for a counter attack.

The whole idea of building this massive thing that you have no idea what it does and how it works is just bad in my point of view.

Yeah, they should discover early on in some prothean book or something "heres this big fucking gun, use it to destroy a lot of reapers"

The crucible itself is a major issue that contributes to the shittiness of the ending and is one of several reasons why the saying "ME3 was great until the last 5 minutes" is a major sugarcoating of reality.

I don't think it is sugarcoating. I think it was just who horrible people forgot about the other horrible parts of it (lol)

ME3 had plenty of fantastic things still going on with the bad up until the end though, so it is much more easily put aside. Once you get to star child though, it's just all bad. And it comes after some fantastic stuff with Illusive Man and Anderson so just makes it even worse than already is.

I don't like the Illusive Man at all in ME3. They took the brilliant, shadowy villain of ME2 and just turned him into a generic, more evil Sareen too stupid to realize his own incompetence. The lady in the Arrival DLC basically have the same characterization, but slightly less cartoony. It makes some sense in the context of what Reaper indoctrination is, but it's still disappointing. Imagine ME2 Illusive Man siccing Kylo Leng or whatever his name is on his enemies and just throwing a million generic soldiers at them. It just wouldn't happen.

They could've handled the ME3 ending better , but no amount of fixing would make it a good story , because the problems started much rearlier , as soon as ME2 started .

That was bad, but when you think about it, how the hell have species been falling for the Citadel trap since the dawn of time? All the mass relays just happen to lead to this giant, inviting space station that is completely pristine and oddly suited for settlement by any kind of life form, yet mysteriously contains no information about the collapse of the civilization(s) that built it. So suspicious...

It could have been nice to see more of his indoctrination, but how he ended up was always inevitable and I think a good thing to show that no one is safe from it. Saren and Matron Barenzia we both never really got to see before hand or have a relationship with, so easier to dismiss. But Illusive man was someone who came across a the puppet master, so seeing him fall hammers that no one can safely use anything related to them (but you can easily argue we already get that by now)

I do think Cerberus in general was fairly disappointing in 3 though, along with Edge Lang. If they'd better shown their descent into it, it would've been much better, rather than jumping head first into the deepest part of the ocean of indoctrination.

This topic just got me thinking about just how bad ME 3 was. I think the game would have been better if was not , chose your own path. Since they went of there way to throw that out the window. You kill the last ever Rachni oh look they some how got another one.
Who did you choose to be counsel member. Anderson a good man that you can Trust, and trust you. Nope that would make a better choose. You have this rat ass who is going to stab you in the back. No matter what.
What do with the Collector Base LOL.

And the sad thing is , at least for the ending the ID would have made it so much better.

It makes sense, they assumed it was kept pristine by the keepers (which it was), and this was tech light-years more advanced than their current tech. You think anyone would just throw that away? They just assumed it was built by the protheans.

I just didn't like that the crucible was some magical deus ex machina pulled out of liara's ass. They should have done something with dark energy plot from ME2 instead.

More things should be pulled out of Liara's ass, IMO. I'm sure there's fanfictions about it.
