When it happened it was the flavor of the week news mystery in CO and some local reporter interviewed him and he was CLEARLY lying, it was kinda awkward. I think he was arrested the next day.

I watched maybe 30 minutes of it on Netflix but got bored because there's no narration, it's just compiled raw footage and Facebook screenshots.

Anyway I know in St. Charles a couple minutes west there was a man who killed his kids and himself in front of his wife, his last words to her were something like "Now you have to live with it." I'm trying to see the film adaptation of that.

Didn't watch the Netflix documentary but have seen other documentaries on TV. It is very fucked up that it could happen in a family that seems so normal. Dude seemed to have a normal upbringing too with good parents.

There was a case in my town a few years ago that thankfully never made national news. Another normal family where the father one day shot his wife and daughters. Everyone that knows him said that he was the last person you would expect to do this. Turns out that it was likely very severe insomnia and lack of sleep that caused him to lose his mind one day.

I find cases like this very disturbing.

Oh yeah, I saw 2 different documentaries about that. Probably Dateline and 20/20.

Hmm, I recognize the pictures. Let me read the story.

I remember watching a video of Watts, the police, and Watts' next door neighbor watching surveillance video of Watts loading things into his truck very early in the morning the day the wife and kids went missing. You could see Watts sweating while the video was being played as he didn't know how much was going to be seen. He told the cops that he was loading tools in the truck when It was the bodies of his wife and kids.

The parts where the little girls both knew something was wrong and were cuddled together in the truck after the father carried their mom into the truck and were on their way to some random place and when one of the little girls is said to have told her dad "please no daddy" after seeing she was next to be killed broke my heart ;(
