I know 2 was made for the SNES, and the first one had no combos and stuff. But was the first one for NES or SNES?

I don't believe so because I remember asking when I was young. But they do have a something like Street Fighter 2020 where Ryu is dead and Ken is Mega Man.

the first game I think was on some obscure system maybe. But not the NES. Most people didn't know about Street Fighter until 2. the first one was not very popular
oh and I do know that in the first one, you can only be Ryu or Ken. everyone else in the game is CPU only ... Copied to Clipboard!

Street Fighter 1 was on the TurboGrafx-16 and some British home computers. It never had an NES or SNES port.

Street Fighter: The Final Fight was on NES but was related to "Street Fighter" in name only. Totally different entities.

He played Street Fighter 2010 in 2010 and Raid 2020 in 2020.

i always wondered how street fighter decided to just basically start with 2. since nobody has really played 1. although it was an arcade game. but i'm sure they never expected SF2 to be such a huge hit.
i'm surprised they didn't just do the final fantasy naming style and just call SF2 on snes street fighter and just retcon a first game existing. even with the arcade being SF2. nintendo seemed to not care about that back then. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Street Fighter 2010 is a pretty good game. It's difficult and has nothing to do with Street Fighter but overall it's a worthwhile NES game.
