Yeah Netflix whole thing started on bingeing their shows so it works well for them. Theres been kickback on any talk of weekly releases for them. The only weekly releases I know of are international shows that Netflix puts up after they air instead of waiting to the end of the season.

Meat is second only to Kreese as the most detestable character in the show and he is the worst character for entertainment value as a viewer.

He's emotionally and verbally abusive, a total coward, a complete whiner and hypocrite.

Literally the first thing he does in the show is put down and insult Miguel for trying to be his friend. Then when Miguel tries to talk to Lip goes "Oh he doesn't talk!" over him which is how abusive boy/girlfriends act. Reenforcing the bullying and low self-esteem the guy is facing.

Then literally every moment of every scene Meat is rude and insulting eveyone around him in an annoying way. He makes fun of karate despite knowing how important it is to everyone. Then when Lip gets the tattoo and hair cut and starts growing self-confidence, what does Meat do? Make fun of it and repeatedly try to remind him that he is a loser called Eli. That's again just verbal and emotional bullying.

Then despite being a pussy who did nothng he takes credit for all of Hawk's hard work and credibility Hawk got for being in Cobra Kai and working hard. Right to Hawk's face. Hawk at this point is still hanging around with him a ll the time and trying to get to him to join and better himself.

Then as I mentioned earlier in the topic. Meat goes to Kreese and the first thing he did is insult him and whine at him and (Despite having just ranted about personal space) grab his arm and insult his tattoos, all because he suspected Kreese wouldn't be allowed to defend himself due to society. The guy is a bully and a hypocrite.

Then at this point Hawk tells Meat to fuck off because he's sick of him. But Meat doesn't and continues trying to degrade Hawk and tell him his a nerd. So Hawk pours a drink on him (sure douchey but NOTHING compared to what Meat has done for 2 seasons straight)

And in response Meat goes in public to all of Hawk's friends and reveals ALL of Hawk's deepest and most embarrasing secrets that Hawk told him in confidence so everyone would mock and laugh at him.

That's evil.

And after all this Meat just gets away with it and wins?

The twerp is the worst kind of bully. The lying, rude, emotionally/verbally manipulative cowardly pathetic hypocrite.

He's Joffrey from game of Thrones, Randall from Recess, Micah from RDR2

All the other characters were bullied for things beyond their control. All of the things Meat did, he did intentionally and with malice and forethought.

All of the other characters worked hard to improve themselves (admittedly weirdly fucking quickly) except Meat who did no work and then magically somehow got skilled because the writers decided it.

He's the biggest bully on the show (unless you count Kreese but I dunno if Bully is the right word for him) and the result is ... He just gets away with it, stays the way he is and esstentially develops magic powers... WTF kind of moral is that? It would be like if Johnny won in the original Karate Kid and then went "Well yeah but Daniel sprayed water at me one time so clearly he's the bully"

I just don't get how anyone can be on his side or feel sympathy for him. If Hawk was a female girl instead of a boy, no one would be pretending all the horrific shit Meat has been doing for 2 seasons wasn't grotesque.

I mean, Daniel kind of was the bully in KK1. He started shit and got beat up for it. He's complicit and the aggravator in teh story.

Yeah, I don't like his character, but he's not THE bully in the show. Hawk is a worse bully, but I suppose I can see your viewpoint in that he undermines his friend's confidence in their selves by trying to paint what he sees on them.

A lot of people have actually re-analyzed the film from as much of an unbiased view as they can to try and see both sides of the story. Johnny and Daniel were both in the wrong for the duration of the movie.

Cobra Kai was pretty much inspired by a running joke on How I Met Your Mother in that the lead character and comic relief had a running gag about Johnny being the protagonist in Karate Kid. It was a silly joke at first.

Yeah, one of the reasons I love Karate Kid 3. It's super cheesy but it's so bad it's really good.
